Mark doesn't record very many of Jesus' parables, but the few he writes about teach us a ton about what it means to follow Jesus and about the person of Jesus himself.

As we look at Jesus' interactions with various people, we can learn a great deal about His private personality - who He was when He was outside of the public eye.

We can learn a lot about Jesus by looking at his public ministry, including his preaching ministry, his calling ministry, and his miraculous ministry.

The Gospel of Mark is unique among the four gospels. It's filled with action and immediacy. In fact, this new series of studies is called "The Immediate Jesus." One of the unique features of the Gospel of Mark is the way he uses the word "gospel." From the very beginning, John Mark makes it clear that the gospel is all about Jesus!
