Everyone in the world goes through storms in life and Christians aren't exempt. However, Jesus works in the midst of the storm on behalf of the believer and as a result, there are good things that come out of the storm. In fact, we can grow spiritual in the storm if we respond with the right attitude.
As Jesus was preparing for his death, He told the disciples that they would grieve for a little while, but then they would rejoice. The joy that Jesus gives to His disciples is an everlasting joy that the world cannot take away.
Our society often downplays the role of a father in the life of his children. The story of the prodigal son and his father shows us some of the ways that a father impacts his children. For all of these things and more, we say, "Thanks, Dad!"
Jesus gave His disciples a mission that was bigger than them. In fact, the mission is so big that His disciples need supernatural help to accomplish it.
Jesus told his disciples that the world would hate them because it hated Him. The same holds true for disciples of Jesus today. The question is: How do we handle the hatred of the world when it comes our way?
