When Joshua and the Israelites were finally about the enter the Promised Land, they faced a formidable obstacle in the walled city of Jericho. Joshua began seeking God about how to take the city, and the commander of the army of the Lord, Jesus himself, appeared and gave Joshua the battle plan. There are lessons in this story for us whenever we are faced with an impossible task.

David is regarded as the greatest king in the history of Israel; however, he is also a bit of an enigma. He could make wise choices, then make some of the most bone-headed decisions one could imagine. He could be holy and righteous, then turn around and commit the most egregious sin imaginable.
