As we continue to look at the questions asked in John 7, we discover that Jesus was making some massive claims concerning His true identity. We also discover that if a person doesn't want to believe, they won't believe, regardless of obvious evidence.
John chapter seven lists a series of twenty questions asked by both Jesus and the crowds listening to him. We can boil those down to six questions that help us understand who Jesus really is.
If a church is going to be effective in ministry, the pastor can't be the only one involved in ministry. The truth is, all Christians are called to minister and when the people move up, the church's ministry expands.
Jesus tells the listening crowd by telling them that in order to have eternal life, they must eat the bread of life. The shocking part of it all was that he told them that the bread of life was his flesh and they must eat his flesh and drink his blood if they wanted eternal life. This teaching was so hard to understand that many of his disciples abandoned him.
In order for a church to move from being an average church to a great church, the pastor can't be the only one involved in the ministry of the church. The pastor has to move over and equip the people of the church to join him in the work of the ministry.
