When Joshua and the Israelites were finally about the enter the Promised Land, they faced a formidable obstacle in the walled city of Jericho. Joshua began seeking God about how to take the city, and the commander of the army of the Lord, Jesus himself, appeared and gave Joshua the battle plan. There are lessons in this story for us whenever we are faced with an impossible task.

Job suffered unimaginable pain when he lost all his wealth, his children, and his health. In his suffering, he cried out to God but didn't hear an answer. God eventually spoke to him out of a whirlwind and it changed Job's perspective entirely.
