Friends Don't Let Friends

A series of messages exploring what it means to have godly friendships.

It's easy to avoid a friend when they are suffering because we don't know what to say to help them. However, a true godly friend won't let his or her friend stand alone when they're hurting.

In the book of Genesis, Cain asked an important question of God. He asked, "Am I my brother's keeper?" The answer to that question is a resounding, "Yes!" As Christians, we have a relational responsibility to pursue a brother or sister in Christ that is beginning to wander down the pathway of sin. How should we approach a friend who is falling into sin?

Everyone faces moments when the weight of the world is too much to bear and you feel like giving up. When that moment comes, you need a true friend who won't abandon you or ignore you, but will spur you on toward the fulfillment of God's plan for your life.

A true friend always does what is best for his or her friends. A God-honoring, Christ-centered friendship will do the hard things to make sure a friend doesn't do things that cause harm to their walk with God.
