The Bible tells us that Jesus didn't die for us after we worked really hard to clean ourselves up in order to make ourselves worthy to come into His presence. Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. That is how we know how much He loves us!

Jesus stood before Pilate and was eventually sent to be crucified on a cross. Even in that, Jesus was declared King!

The Jewish leaders called for Jesus' death. The Romans actually carried out the crucifixion of Jesus. Our sins put Him on the cross. But who was ultimately responsible for the cross? The answer may surprise you a little bit.

At the conclusion of Jesus' intimate time of preparing his disciples for his impending death, He pauses to pray.

Jesus prepares his disciples for the monumental changes that are coming because of His death on the cross. The disciples, however, are disturbed because Jesus tells them that they cannot go where He is going.

Jesus is the victorious King, but His victory is not what the crowds anticipated.
