After Jesus' resurrection and just before His ascension into heaven, He gave His followers a mission that changes everything about how we live our lives and what priorities we pursue. Jesus' mission for us is to go and tell everyone about the good news of salvation.

 

A the beginning of the story of Abraham, God calls Abraham to leave everything behind and go to a land that He would show Abram (Abraham) later. This is a powerful example of how God still works in our lives today.

Many people associate emotional experiences with the idea of worship. However, the bible defines true worship for us.

 

Anyone can claim to be a follower of Jesus, but Jesus gave us a way to measure whether or not our faith is real. If we truly have placed our faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, then we WILL bear fruit.

 

As Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure from them, He promises them that He's not going to leave them helpless, nor will they be alone. He promises that His relationship with Him will continue to grow even though He's returning to His Father.

When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to announce that she had found favor with God and had been chosen to give birth to the long-awaited Messiah, Mary responded with faith, humility, and obedience. Now it's our turn to experience the favor and the power of God. Like Mary, we have to respond to God's call with faith, humility, and obedience.
