Gluttony is more than simply eating too much food. Gluttony is an obsession with and idolatry of food and/or of eating. It is looking to food to meet needs in our lives that only God can meet.

Sometimes it harder to hope a second time when you've been hurt, disappointed, or simply made some foolish mistakes on your own. Jesus offers hope that goes beyond anything that's happened in your past.

The greedy heart is never satisfied no matter how much it has. This leads to a joyless life where greed is the master.
