A New Day

After Moses died, God anointed Joshua to be the leader of Israel. Joshua led the people of Israel into the Promised Land. However, he could never have accomplished that feat if he hadn't been willing to move when God said that it was time to move. That's an important lesson for us today. In order to have the abundant life Jesus promised, we have to move when it's time to move.

The Old Testament prophets may have lived in ancient times, but their message is still relevant for modern problems. This series will look at the minor prophets of the Old Testament and draw encouragement and inspiration for those living in modern times. This study lays the foundation for the remainder of the series.

Jesus promised His followers that they would have life, and that life would be an abundant life. Living that life proves difficult due to our sinful nature. The good news, however, is that God's love and mercies are new every day and they will never cease.
