Although some people would tell you otherwise, the United States was founded upon Christian principles and has a deep spiritual heritage. It's quite obvious that our nation has strayed from those founding ideals. How do we, as Christians, help our nation find her way back to her roots?
Everyone in the world goes through storms in life and Christians aren't exempt. However, Jesus works in the midst of the storm on behalf of the believer and as a result, there are good things that come out of the storm. In fact, we can grow spiritual in the storm if we respond with the right attitude.
As Jesus was preparing for his death, He told the disciples that they would grieve for a little while, but then they would rejoice. The joy that Jesus gives to His disciples is an everlasting joy that the world cannot take away.
Our society often downplays the role of a father in the life of his children. The story of the prodigal son and his father shows us some of the ways that a father impacts his children. For all of these things and more, we say, "Thanks, Dad!"
