The sixth gate of the City of God is named after Dan, whose name means "judge." This gate reminds us that Jesus is our righteous Judge. That's bad news if you're a sinner, but great news if your sins have been forgiven.

Cancel culture as rampant in our society. If someone goes against the ever-changing standards of the world, they are immediately branded as a deplorable person and redemption is rarely available. Thankfully, God does not treat us like that. When we come to Christ in repentance and faith, God promises that He will remember our sins no more. What an amazing promise!

The fourth gate of the City of God is named after Joseph, whose name means "to add." This gate reminds us that we serve the God of addition. He wants to add blessings to our lives, He wants to add people to His church, and He wants to add children to His family.

The third gate of the City of God is named after Levi, whose name means "joined." We celebrate the fact that we have been joined to God, not by our own merits, but by the grace of God through the work of Jesus Christ!

Jesus promised that if we give, it will be given to us. That verse has been used countless times to ask people to give financially to a church or a ministry. However, does that verse apply to giving monetarily? Or does it apply in different ways?
