As the Israelites were escaping slavery in Egypt, they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army. God came to their aid by parting the Red Sea and allowing His people to cross on dry land. Forty years later, Joshua and the Israelites faced a similar situation. They were about to move into the Promised Land, but the swollen banks of the Jordan River stood in their way. God parted the waters again! What God has done before, He can do again today!

Hebrews 11 is known as the Hall of Faith. It lists many of the great heroes of the Old Testament. However, there is at least one name in the list that is both shocking and surprising - Rahab. Rahab was a prostitute in Jericho. How did a woman with this dubious reputation find her way into the Hall of Faith alongside the heroes of the Old Testament?

Romans 8:28 promises that God causes all things to work together for our good if we love Him and are called according to His purpose. That promise becomes an anchor for our lives when we're faced with difficult or devastating circumstances because we know He's going to bring something good...even when we don't understand what's going on.
