Abram received a promise from God that he would be the father of many nations. However, Abram still didn't have a single child at an advanced age. The dream seemed impossible, but Abram trusted God to make the dream a reality.
Although Abraham was a man of great faith, there were times in his life where he failed to live in that faith. Looking at his example teaches us some lessons about dealing with hardships in our lives in faith.
A the beginning of the story of Abraham, God calls Abraham to leave everything behind and go to a land that He would show Abram (Abraham) later. This is a powerful example of how God still works in our lives today.
The story of Abraham (formerly known as Abram) is monumental as the Bible unfolds God's plan of salvation by faith. However, Abraham's story really begins much earlier than his birth. His father, Terah, teaches an important lesson about refusing to settle for less that God's plan for our lives.
The essence of faithfulness is to be full of faith. It's that faith that keeps us moving forward regardless of circumstances. Pastor Dave talks about the earmarks of the faithful Christian.
